Classically
trained in Italy, portrait artist
Lucinda Coldrey is now based in London, where she
takes comissions for both animal portraits
and people portraits, from child portraits
to family portraits.
While portrait painting is Lucinda's primary focus,
she also travels all over the world to paint. Recent
trips have taken her to India and Morroco,
where she did both landscape
portraits and did a commissioned charcoal
portraits.
Although Lucinda travels for her commissions, she
also paints or draws portraits from photographs
if it is not possible for the "subject" to sit. She also
does posthumous oil
portraits and charcoal
portraits. Using
traditional methods and materials, Lucinda is able to capture the
character of the sitter as well as capturing the likeness from nature.
There is nothing that truly captures beauty like an original
oil painting.
